Sports Premium
The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality and breadth of physical education and sport for pupils.
Funding is allocated based on the number of pupils aged 5–11 recorded in the annual January census. Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive funding to support the development of sustainable, high-quality PE and sport provision.
At Tooting Primary School, we are committed to using the PE and Sport Premium to ensure all pupils have access to high-quality physical education and opportunities to lead healthy, active lifestyles. Funding is used to:
- Enhance the PE curriculum so it is broad, balanced and inclusive
- Improve staff knowledge, skills and confidence through high-quality CPD
- Increase participation in physical activity and competitive sport
- Provide opportunities for pupils to experience a wide range of sports
- Ensure improvements are sustainable and benefit pupils long-term
Details of how the Sports Premium is spent, and the impact it has had, can be found in the documents below for the current academic year and previous years.
